Hansoo Kim is the CEO and President of Samsung Electronics Greece since December 2023. He joined Samsung Electronics in 2000 and since then he worked in various roles including Mobile Devices, TV, monitor, advanced development, as well as business planning, sales and marketing, and group consulting.

With extensive international experience and a strong track record in driving innovation and market expansion, he now leads Samsung’s operations in Greece and Cyprus. Mr. Kim is a graduate of Yonsei University and holds a Master Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Chalamandaris

Aimilios Chalamandaris was a co-founder and CEO of Innoetics. He holds a BA and a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the NTUA, as well as a Master's degree in Telecommunications and Digital Signal Processing from the Imperial College of London. He is one of the founding members of the team which developed one of the world'sleading synthetic speech technologies. He has led to the establishment of Innoetics as one of the most important companies of synthetic speech internationally, culminating in its acquisition by Samsung Electronics in 2017. Today Aimilios is the Head of R&D at Samsung Electronics Greece, and he is a big supporter of the Greek startup and entrepreneurship ecosystem.

He has served as a member of the National Council for Research and Innovation, the supreme advisory body for the formulation and implementation of the national policy for Research, Technology and Innovation in Greece from 2020 until 2023. In 2022, Aimilios was given the R&D Manager of the Year award for his performance and contribution from his position at Samsung Electronics Greece.

Thanasis
Panagopoulos

(Data Engineering)

Thanasis Panagopoulos is a Director (Data Engineering) at EY Greece, based in Athens, and a member of EY’s Data, Analytics & AI Center of Excellence. He leads projects in the public sector such as a rewards system for civil servants using KPIs and GenAI, a Local Government Performance Monitoring Hub, and an AI-powered civil protection data platform.

With 20+ years of experience in public sector digital transformation, he previously held senior leadership roles at the Hellenic Ministry of Digital Governance, where he spearheaded the national digital strategy, represented Greece in EU initiatives, and oversaw major digital and audiovisual projects. His career also includes data engineering and IT security roles, legislative work in the Hellenic Parliament, and contributions to national and European research projects. He has taught at the university level, published scientific work, and holds a Diploma and a PhD in Electrical & Computer Engineering (Digital Signal Processing & Pattern Recognition) from National Technical University of Athens.
